Winter Storms Can Cause Water Damage

12/28/2020 (Permalink)

This was the result of the last heavy snow in Omaha. Our team came in early to clean our vehicles of all the snow.

With potentially heavy snow predicted in the Omaha, NE area this week, SERVPRO of Sarpy County reminds you to be on the lookout for storm damage or water damage.

Ice dams are always a concern after a heavy snow.  The snow insulates itself against the roof and gutters, causing melt which backs up under the shingles.  This results in waters getting into the attic space and your home's interior.  Check out this blog on our website about ice dams.

If you have snow drifting along your home ro business, it is important to shovel the snow away from the foundation to prevent the melting snow from backing up into your basement.

If you experience storm damage or water damage, call the SERVPRO of Sarpy County team of trusted professionals at 402-291-3355. Our experienced crews are always here to help.
